Aimbridge® Financial Services offers GAP insurance to customers or members directly through the auto dealership. The Aimbridge® program helps bridge the GAP between the remaining balance on an auto loan and the amount received from a traditional auto insurance company.

If a car is stolen or a consumer or member suffers a total loss in an accident, that customer may end up owing much more than the "actual cash value" for which the vehicle is insured. Actual cash value may be very different from the actual cost to replace the vehicle, especially in the early phase of a long-term loan. In other words, the borrower may owe the lender more than the amount received from the insurance company and the outstanding balance on the vehicle loan.
